Heat dissipation of UVLED?
UV-LED curing is a technology that processes UV-curable materials such as coatings, adhesives and inks by exporting the "energy" from the ultraviolet (UV) spectrum of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The energy generated by ultraviolet light can lead to free radical polymerization, which leads to the polymerization of wet raw materials.
Hardening (or curing) UV LED curing lamp consists of several sub-components, which can improve the performance of the system when the best combination. The important components of UV LED light source can be divided into four categories: LED lamp, array, optical elements and heat.
If maintained at appropriate operating temperature, the UV LED can last up to 20,000 hours or more. When LEDs emit more energy, they also generate more heat, which needs to be processed. Heat treatment technology can remove excess heat from the system, while providing uniform and stable operating temperature for the diode, so as to achieve the best performance and prolong the service life of the lamp.
When it comes to heat treatment, it must be supported by super-high thermal conductivity hardware. Then the first thing to be affected is the circuit board. The thermal conductivity of the circuit board material will directly affect the life of the LED. At present, many manufacturers use aluminium substrates, because the thermal conductivity of aluminium substrates is high. However, with the development of high-power, aluminum substrates have gradually failed to meet the demand, so ceramic circuit boards are needed. The thermal conductivity of ceramic circuit boards can reach 100 times of that of aluminum substrates, and it is more stable than that of aluminum substrates, and the thermal expansion matching coefficient is better.
