Hello, welcome to Futangxi (Shanghai) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd.

Classification of curing and drying of UV ink

According to the different drying methods, UV curing machine can be divided into three types: osmotic type, oxidized conjunctiva type and volatile type.

Next, we will have a detailed understanding of volatile drying ink, ultraviolet curing ink (UVLED curing ink), oxidation drying ink.

1. Volatile drying ink: It is the most widely used ink in screen printing.

Ink film is mainly composed of macromolecule substances. After printing, solvent evaporates, and its macromolecule substances form ink film.

The process of volatilization drying is reversible, i. e. the drying ink film can be dissolved by solvent.

When the ink is transferred to the substrate, there will be solvent ink film, which will volatilize the solvent first.

Solvents in ink diffuse in the atmosphere due to vapor pressure, forming a liquid film on the surface of the ink film, and then volatilize through the liquid film.

In this drying process, the internal drying is generally slow, and sometimes the air blowing is needed to accelerate the drying process.

Volatile ink is widely used because of its easy use and fast drying.

2. Ultraviolet curable ink (UV ink): Ultraviolet ink can produce photochemical reaction, which can be completely cured in a few seconds. It is used more and more in plastic printing.

The main components of ink are photopolymer resin, initiator, color and additives. In principle, organic solvents will not be used.

The main characteristics of UV ink are solvent-free volatilization, pollution-free and environmental protection requirements.

Widely used in food packaging printing, good printing adaptability, suitable for paper cardboard, plastic products, metals, textiles and other printing materials, short curing time, less energy consumption, good printing quality.

3. Oxidation-drying ink: Ink contains polymer with small molecular weight, which is oxidized in air and forms polymer film through chemical reaction of heat, light or reactive substance.

After printing on the surface of the impression, this kind of ink usually needs heating to promote hardening.

With the development of science and technology, people are increasingly demanding environmental protection, so environmental ink came into being. Environmental-friendly inks, also known as green inks, are mainly soybean inks and ultraviolet curing inks in offset printing.

Futancy produces UV LED point light source, UV LED line light source, UV LED surface light source, UV LED oven, UV LED curing oven UV curing lamp, UV glue dryer.
